Birth Realm is a holistic postpartum care company providing specialized care to new parents in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are regularly looking to grow our team of doulas and are currently accepting applications.

Birth work is a meaningful and fulfilling calling but how you practice matters. We know that irregular hours, emotional exhaustion, and insufficient support are contributing factors to burnout in the profession.

Did you know that when you are self employed you keep only about 50% of what you make on average? Yes, you read that right! By the time you pay the taxes (you get taxed twice as a sole proprietor) and overhead, not to mention all of those hours spent in meetings with prospective clients, you end up keeping only 50% of your income. We’ve been there and are here to tell you that there is another way to do this work more sustainably both physically and financially.

  • Night Doula for the San Francisco & East Bay areas

  • Night Doula for Marin, Sonoma & Napa Counties

    • Current Postpartum Doula Certification or other professional certification/license

    • Current Adult /Infant CPR Certification

    • Reliable Transportation

    • Digital Literacy, Computer and WiFi Access

    • Deep empathy and commitment to this work

    • Competitive hourly rate (based on experience and training)
